CoverKing was founded in 1986 in Southern California by an Industrial and Electrical Engineer who was working in the Aerospace Defense industry at the time. The founder purchased the advanced CAD/CAM manufacturing technology used in the Aerospace industry and put it to work manufacturing custom dash covers. Up to this point custom automotive dash covers would take up to 30 days to produce. CoverKings state-of-the-art technology reduced the lead time to one day.
